Our Story

Forever, Written Slowly

i.

How We Met

Bryanston, 2016 — a small, close-knit Wednesday-night Drum & Bass radio show. The first time Megan and Naushad saw each other, he was star-struck by her smile. They became fast friends, and for months he looked forward to nothing more than seeing her every week.

ii.

Finding Each Other Again

Seven years on, in 2023, they crossed paths again on a night out, fresh off Megan's return from China. One smile was enough. The next morning Naushad asked for her number — and from then on they talked every single day. By 10 June 2023, they were officially a couple, and neither of them ever looked back.

iii.

Building Our Life

Weekends and weeknights spent cooking, laughing, and talking about everything. Their first trip together, to Clarens, became one of their favourite memories — the moment they realised they weren't just dating, they were building a future. In 2024 they moved into their first home together, and any remaining doubt disappeared. Home had simply become wherever she was.

iv. Naushad proposing to Megan overlooking his hometown

The Proposal

December 2025, Naushad's hometown. He led Megan to a breathtaking view overlooking the place that shaped him, and told her he needed her for where he was going next. Then he got down on one knee. With tears in her eyes, Megan said yes — one of the happiest moments of their lives.

v.

Forever Begins

What began as two friends crossing paths at a small Drum & Bass gathering became a friendship, then a love story, then a home — and now, under the oaks at Oakfield Farm, the beginning of forever. Our wedding isn't the end of our story. It's simply the start of the greatest chapter yet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring a plus one?

What does your invitation say?

If it says +1, bring your person. If it doesn't, your mysterious companion will have to sit this one out.

We have a guest list, a seating plan and a catering bill. Please don't freestyle.

Can I bring my child?

If your invitation says they're invited, absolutely. If it doesn't, they're not.

We love the little legends, but they can't simply appear because you decided they're coming. Please make arrangements accordingly.

Children

Your children, your responsibility. At all times. Please make sure your little ones are respectful during the ceremony and throughout the celebration.

We know kids will be kids, and we're not expecting tiny angels. But the last thing we need is a rogue child derailing the wedding. Please keep an eye on them — we have enough chaos to deal with.

Can I wear white?

Yes. And Naushad will personally ruin his own wedding suit trying to dramatically remove the evidence.

In other words — please don't. It's Megan's wedding.

Can I wear black?

Yes. You're going to a wedding, not a funeral.

What happens if I don't RSVP?

We assume you're not coming. We will not be sending a search party.

RSVP. It's literally what the button is for.

What if I RSVP yes and don't show up?

We'll survive. Our caterer, however, will not.

We're paying for that empty chair, so please don't be that person.

Can I change my RSVP?

Yes, life happens. Just tell us as soon as possible so we can adjust things before the caterer starts hunting us down.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. Look good. Put some effort in — you're going to a wedding.

Also, see the question about wearing white. Seriously.

What if I have more questions?

Read the invitation again. Then read it again.

Then, if you're still confused, ask us.

What happens if I'm late?

Nothing. The ceremony will continue without you. You'll simply have to explain to everyone why you missed the most important part of the day.

Digging your own grave is optional, but encouraged.

Gifts

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, and sharing our special day with you means the world to us.
